The Track Is the Symptom, Not Usually the Cause
A door leaves its track when something else has already gone wrong. A roller seizes and stops turning, so the panel drags and the wheel pops out of the channel. A cable snaps, and with one side unsupported the door drops diagonally and wrenches the track outward. A car bumper taps the bottom panel or a ladder leans on a vertical track and bends it. Occasionally a spring fails and the sudden release throws the whole door sideways. The track is usually the last thing to give, which is why bending it back into place without finding the cause just means the door comes off again the next time it is used.
This is a call that should not be delayed, because a door resting off its track is no longer square and its weight is being held by things that were never meant to hold it. Until a technician arrives, keep people and pets away from the door and leave it where it is rather than trying to force it shut. Older homes in Hollywood and Dania Beach often have thinner original tracks and hinges that have rusted solid, and those are the doors that come off most easily in this area. In Hallandale Beach and Aventura, condo and high-rise garages have their own version of the problem: shared tracks hit by other drivers, and doors that must be left fully functional rather than blocked open. We make the door safe, inspect the rollers, hinges, cables and springs, then straighten or replace the track sections and reset the door square in the opening.
Safe First, Then Fixed
The first thing we do on an off-track door is make it safe โ secure the panels so nothing drops. Then we find what pushed it off and repair that as well as the track. A realigned door with a seized roller behind it is not a repair, and we do not hand one back.
Why This Works Better
Straightened or Replaced Tracks
Minor bends are realigned and re-anchored. Crushed or kinked sections are replaced, because a track that has been badly bent will never run true again.
Realigned Panels
Hinges and rollers reset so the door closes square with a proper seal at the bottom and sides, instead of hanging crooked in the opening.
Urgent Response
A door off its track cannot be left open or blocked safely. We prioritize these calls and answer the phone at any hour, every day.
Three Steps Start to Finish
Secure the Door
We arrive, disconnect the opener and brace the door so the panels cannot drop while we work. Nothing else happens until it is stable.
Find the Cause
Rollers, hinges, cables, springs, drums and anchors are all checked. We identify what pushed the door off before we touch the track.
Realign and Cycle
The track is straightened or replaced, the door is reset and rebalanced, and we cycle it several times to confirm it stays in the rails.

Off-Track Door Repair FAQs
Can I just push the door back on the track myself?
No. An off-track door is unstable and a panel can come down on you, and forcing it can bend the track and crack panels that are otherwise fine. Leave it in place and call (786) 671-4001.
Is it dangerous to leave it like that?
Yes, it can be. The door is no longer supported by the full track and may be held by a single roller or a cable. Keep children, pets and cars away from it until we arrive.
Can you come out at night?
We answer around the clock. If a door is off its track and the house cannot be secured, that is exactly the kind of call we dispatch at night, on weekends and on holidays. Call (786) 671-4001.
Will I need a whole new door?
Usually not. Tracks, rollers and hinges are replaceable and panels can often be straightened or individually replaced. A new door only comes up when several panels are crushed or the door structure itself is bent.
Why did it happen in the first place?
The most common causes are a seized roller, a snapped cable, a bent track from a vehicle or ladder, or a broken spring releasing the load. We fix the cause along with the track so it does not repeat.
